Painting the face need patience and a bit accuracy. I usually start with the silhouette of the object, and then slowly move to the major details. In watercolor, after silhouettes we can work on the shadow first to determine the direction of the light then the details

It  is strongly recomended to use photo  with strong light.  Will be easier to paint

Bike camping at Sukamantri Camping Ground 23-24 January

I start a bit late that day, about 7.15am from home. Rainy day makes the trip very comfortable.Using my old kuwahara bicycle with extragrip ma**is tyres size 26x 2.20. This size actually not recommended for long-distance travel, but i still use it since stony road on location outstretched about last 5km need a wide-offroad-tyres. Adjust high pressure for asphalt and lower for offroad.

A sketch before go

Berangkat agak terlambat sabtu itu, 7.15 pagi dari rumah. Hujan gerimis membuat perjalanan lebih nyaman.Menggunakan sepeda tua kuwahara yang dirancang  khusus menggunakan menggunakan ban ma**is ukuran 26x 2.20. Ban ini sejatinya tidak direkomendasikan untuk jarak jauh, namun mengingat jalan makadam 5km terakhir di tempat tujuan, ban ini justru nyaman digunakan mengingat bobotnya yang ringan dan kembangan kasarnya membantu pijakan di medan berat. Sesuaikan tekanan bannya, keras untuk aspal, lembut untuk medan berat. about 3km before camp site, rear tyre got spike about 2.30pm. In the middle of nowhere. This problem must be fixed immediately unless i will carry the 30kg bike up hill :p

Sekitar 3km dari gerbang, ban belakang tertusuk paku. Di tengah hutan. Harus segera diatasi kecuali mau menjalani sisa perjalanan sambil menggotong sepeda di tanjakan terjal :p

6km from site, there is a beautiful lake with great view. Many people do fishing here. Too bad this place not well managed.
Sekitar 6km sebelum lokasi terdapat danau yang lumayan bagus pemandangannya. Banyak orang memancing di sini, hanya sangat disayangkan banyak sampah karena tidak serius dikelola.

bikecamp at Sukamantri Camping Ground 15-16 January

Bersepeda kini lebih menyenangkan jika mengkombinasikannya dengan jalan malam dan sedikit menanjak. Bumi perkemahan Sukamantri berjarak 50km dari tempat saya tinggal sekarang, Pondok Gede, Bekasi. Melalui Bogor yang asri, kombinasi jalannya aspal, beton, dan bebatuan. Disarankan menggunakan ban berukuran 2.20 kompon lunak.

Cycling is much more exciting now if we combine it with night ride and a bit hill climbing. Sukàmantri camping site is about 49 kilometers from Pondok Gede, Bekasi through Bogor with road combination asphalt, concrete, and stones.

Dari kebun Raya Bogor, kita melewati Ciapusdan sedikit menanjak sekitar 5km jalan aspal dan beton, disambung jalan tanah dan bebatuan. 2km terakhir sepeda sama sekali tidak dapat dinaiki/dikayuh karena medan terlalu terjal dn bebatuan dalam kondisi basah dan licin

From kebun raya starts from Ciapus and slightly slipe upward about 5km of asphalt then about 4km road of pure stones. Last 2km the road is really hard to pass on bike. You have to walk whlist guiding you handle bar since it is too slippery.

Tiket masuk beserta sepeda Rp.20.000,- termasuk sepeda. Lokasi kemping bisa di mana saja tergantung selera

The ticket is only Rp.20.000,- with your bicycle with a very good view in the morning.
I arrive there at 10.00 pm. Not a very good time actually.. :) 

cycling, camping, sketching at Tanjung Lesung

 Holiday, some of us in a group called "Bike pea" travelled To tanjung lesung, Pandeglang. It's about 220 km from Jakarta. A very unique place since we do càmp not in an official area. But a bit near the jungle.

 This journey cost about 317.000 rupiahs. Stay in friend's house, eat cheap (but clean and healthy) food, and camp anywhere. We open our tent twice. First at cemara beach (about 15 km offroading from tg.lesung) and somewhere between tanjung lesung and labuhan

 The trip was about 3days from 24 to 27 December 2015..

an old house in Bogor (surya kencana street)

This is my first time sketching in Bogor. Most of my cycling destination, about 48km from Pondok Gede. Local  government preserve many big trees that make the city quiet fresh. Unfortunately some spot of this city still full of trash.

Surya kencana street is one of local china townin the city. There is one well-maintenanced-building not so far from local market
