A meeting can be boring I try to overcome that condition by sketching a few characters during the meeting. Actually it’s not a boring meeting at all, discussion about food safety in Nunukan.:D

after pray on Friday usually there is an announcement or a speech from the praying leader, about how to live rightly:) A session that open our mind about how to prepare ourselves for the afterlife. About how to manage relationship between God and Human...

and a value added for me: how to sketch in every situation..

one evening at harbor

Harbor is a perfect place to let the afterwork burden go. The aroma of the sea water, watching seagull hunt for a small fish/shrimp, the sound of diesel engines and the wave of the sea it feels like hearing a Beethoven's symphony.... smooth but hard to figure of how it plays.

boat is one of the most challenging object to sketch. For a fast sketch detail is not an object. Keep sketch of what we see.

once upon a time in my office

an office room can be boring for us or NOT:)) it depends on how you see it.  In my mind there is always beauty in an even the most place. Try to find it in yours, and sketch it fast! beware of the killer-warden-boss:D

a few days in Jakarta (late march)

Once again, my job takes me to Jakarta, an annual short course about government public relation. It's all about how to manage things related to media and institution's (bad) news so it won't misinterpreted.

a day before birthday

Our Navy oftenly park their magnificent sea war equipment at Tunon Taka Harbor Nunukan even though they have their own harbor, still unknown why they park here (at Tunon Taka). Sometimes we saw them refuelling here or filling up the water supply.
Anyway, for us it's a respective valuable entertainment :) since this is actually a rare sight.

Last Night, before bed _2

recently, it become more often for me to sleep late at night. Either the movie is too good nor a hunger :D... Just can't sleep earlier, that's it. to cure this i do the drawing/sketching to tire my eyes. I draw this on a 10" ipad that need a high concentration and taste (simply provided by a good mood)

The sketch is a Land Rover (perhaps serie 2) sketched on Sketchbookx software that can be downloaded freely from your ipad. Using grey color at the begining makes it feels like pencil in advance process. Since the color is easily covered by another darker color.

Last night.. can't sleep well. so i decided to design this to exhaust my mind....
then i woke up late this morning L.O.L,....sorry boss

my new office room

It's about a week i'm in my new position in Nunukan hospital as chief of public relation and partnership. Still figuring out about what will i do for the next programs whilist trying to fix the former unbelievably messy program so it can run smoothly. The rest is good, nice and handy staff, comfortable room, and the chance to do more has open widely now...

livesketch: landscape and bird view

Not too often i sketch this way... a landscape and bird view:) the challenge in both modes are the tiny objects since they're observed from far away and due to that: the detailing. Perspective and everything about technique are simple and quiet easy to do.

livesketching: my children

Sketching my children is one of my most adorable activity after work hours. Not quiet easy since their rapid-active movement and the very rare chance to do this:) So little time to finish the work but offers so much joy. in this post i use different tools and style to train my hand-eyes co-ordination, and of course to "make friends"  to the tools

the following sketches use ipad, drawing pen, and pencil..still comfortable using drawing pen on canson :)
